Deciding the correct rental period for you is another big consideration.  Is it an investment property or your own you need taking care of for a while?  Do you mind longer term renters who become attached to the property or would you prefer shorter term or holiday lets?  All have pros and cons and will offer something different which will either suit, or not different landlords situations.
